Objectives: The study was to assess the level of governance perceived by key stakeholders regarding the family dentist system for students in Seoul.
Methods: The evaluation tool used for this assessment was a health policy governance evaluation tool developed by the World Bank.
Results: The study revealed that the dimension of 'transparency and information' of the family dentist system for students in Seoul received the highest level of governance. The dimensions of 'consistency and stability' and 'coherent decision-making structure' also received a good level of governance. However, there were areas where governance was found to be insufficient, specifically in terms of 'stakeholder participation' and 'supervision and regulation'.
Conclusions: To implement the family dentist system for students nationwide, enhancing the governance framework is crucial, allowing key stakeholders such as oral health professionals, students, and their parents to engage.
